Why Lee Porter?

Lee has devoted his life to the game of golf, transforming a childhood passion into a distinguished professional career. Having first taken up the game at the age of eight, his enthusiasm and commitment have remained unwavering. He began his professional journey in 1985 and achieved PGA AAT Professional status in 1996.

Throughout his career, Lee has worked with players competing across the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, Legends Tour, Ladies European Tour, and LET Access Series, gaining extensive experience at the highest levels of the professional game.

Lee is also certified through the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), further strengthening his ability to connect physical capability with swing mechanics. This qualification enables him to assess movement patterns, mobility, and stability to identify the underlying causes of swing inefficiencies, ensuring that coaching and equipment recommendations are aligned with each golfer’s physical profile.

Today, he continues to support golfers of all abilities, combining elite-level insight with a data-driven and body-informed approach to development. In addition to his coaching and fitting work, Lee serves as UK & European Aftermarket Sales Manager for True Temper Golf Shafts and contributes to the profession as a PGA Tutor and Marker. His commitment remains centred on helping golfers maximise their potential and enjoy the game as much as he does.

In addition to my work at Hylands Golf Complex, I serve as the UK & European Aftermarket Sales Manager for True TemperGolf Shafts. This role encompasses several of the industry’s most respected brands, including:

This position provides direct insight into shaft design, materials, performance profiling, and the evolving technologies shaping the modern game. I work closely with Tour Trucks, leading manufacturers, distributors, and professional club fitters across the UK and Europe, gaining first-hand exposure to the specifications and setups trusted by elite players worldwide.
